UIS Analytical Services (Pty) Ltd is an independent testing laboratory company offering a wide range of analytical techniques and consulting services, with focus on analysis for the mining industry and environmental samples (water and waste classification analysis).
Many of our methods are SANAS (South African National Accreditation System) ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, comparable with international standards and procedures. The laboratory also participates in an extended range of inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency tests to underpin its technical competency and quality of results.
The laboratory provides analytical services and expertise unrivaled by other laboratories in Southern Africa, as it is staffed with advanced degree chemists, technicians and highly trained laboratory assistants to provide an exemplary and personalised service. The personnel's strong multi-skilled technical backgrounds, combined with high personal standards and experience in a variety of analytical specialities, ensure that our laboratories stay in the forefront of technology to provide superior results.
The scope of work includes analysis from exploration ores, through mine process material (ROM, concs, tails) and metallurgical samples (from all different separation processes) to metals, processed production material to waste and water.
Our key mineral matrices include iron, manganese, chrome and ferro-chrome, base metals (Cu, Co, Ni, Pb/Zn), bauxite, lithium, fluorspar, heavy mineral sand, coal ash, rare earth elements, limestone and general whole rock/minerals.
Our modern facilities, comprising over 1500 square meters at the head office in Centurion, Gauteng, is centrally situated s with ample sample preparation, analysis and storage space.
